Extra Life Detroit Sets Goal for 2021

Nurturing Babies, Supporting Families
Did you know more than 11 percent of babies born in the U.S. are premature? Of these infants, more than 70 percent will be admitted to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Beaumont Children’s has three NICU locations: Royal Oak, Troy and Dearborn. Needing treatment at the NICU is scary for families, but Beaumont’s highly skilled, board-certified neonatologists deliver specialized care and the most technologically advanced treatment.

This year, Extra Life Detroit is on a mission. The group is dedicating this year’s fundraising in support of the NICU. The goal is to collectively raise $155,000 for Beaumont Children’s this year. 100% of funds raised stay local and will support critical equipment upgrades, NICU graduation kits for babies discharged, and comfort programs for families.

Extra Life unites thousands of players around the world in a gaming marathon to support their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (Local to Detroit is Beaumont Children’s!)
