Preparing for National Pancake Day

Personal Experiences Motivate IHOP Team

Every year, IHOP participates in a miracle balloon campaign that concludes with National Pancake Day. Since 2006 IHOP restaurant locations have been dedicated to giving back to local Children’s Hospitals through these initiatives! The team at the Novi, Michigan IHOP are giving it their all this year in honor of Jennifer’s son, Deshone. Jennifer, pictured in the middle, is the store manager at this location. She has been the driving force in the store’s fundraising success.

Deshone was born prematurely and weighed only 2lb 12oz. Since then, he has also been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Jennifer has spent extended periods of time in Children’s Hospital and understands how the IHOP campaign is directly helping patients and families at Beaumont Children’s. Deshone is now 26 and has the most positive and fun-loving attitude. You will always see him with a smile on his face.

Jennifer has been with IHOP for 10 years and during that time she has enjoyed being a part of the Children’s Miracle Network campaigns! “It truly feels good to work for a company who is dedicated to giving back,” Jennifer said.
