Genisys Credit Union raised $1,100 for Miracle Jeans Day

On Wednesday, September 11th Genisys Credit Union employees went casual for kids in the annual Miracle Jeans Day by raising $1,100. The proceeds raised will go towards Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak, a local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN Hospitals).
“At Genisys, we work hard to live out our values — ‘We Improve our Community’ — every day,” said Jackie Buchanan, President / CEO of Genisys Credit Union. “We admire the courage and strength of our youngest community members and are proud to be able to give back to our local CMN Hospital.”
This annual, one-day event, organized through Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids), lets credit union employees around the country wear jeans for a day for a $5 donation. All proceeds go towards a local CMN Hospital, whose mission is to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible by raising funds to cover the cost of care that is not covered by Medicaid and insurance programs.
“The smallest donation can help a child in our community; Ten $5 donations from Miracle Jeans Day can help bring Pet Therapy to kids at Beaumont Children’s,” said Jordan Oshesky, Manager Children’s Miracle Network. “We are so grateful for support from local businesses like Genisys Credit Union.”

Thank you, Genisys Credit Union!
