Bringing good health and happiness to kids treated at Beaumont Children’s

Two Dairy Queen restaurants in southeast Michigan go the extra mile to support pediatric patients

Since 1984, Dairy Queen has been a partner of Children’s Miracle Network raising more than $154 million for local children’s hospitals across North America. Locally, over $955,000 has been raised since 2003.

Two local DQ Grill & Chill restaurants, located at 4600 Greenfield Rd in Dearborn and at 8115 Telegraph Rd in Taylor are owned by the Haidous family and have continued to fundraise for CMN at Beaumont Children’s, even through the COVID-19 pandemic. Both locations are engaging in year-round fundraising by asking each and every customer to round up to the next dollar, in an attempt to each reach a goal of $30K this year.

Store manager, Joe H. comments, “At Dairy Queen, we pride ourselves in giving back. Giving back to our fans and our community. So, when we had the chance to help the Children’s Miracle Network by simply rounding up, we knew we had to take it! Our fans support us just as we support them. It all comes down to loyalty and betterment of community. What better way to do that than to help children together!”

These DQ locations are just two of so many that participate in fundraising for CMN in SE Michigan, helping to fund critical programs and equipment at Beaumont Children’s. If you happen to be enjoying a Dairy Queen treat at any one of the eighty-eight SE Michigan locations, please thank the crew for the outstanding work they do on behalf of local kids.
