Blake Corum’s Visit Rounds Out The 2023 7-Eleven and Speedway Cleat Crew Program For Beaumont Children’s
Last fall, college star athletes teamed up with 7-Eleven and Speedway stores along with luxury designer, The Shoe Surgeon, to create their own custom pair of cleats. Fans had an opportunity to bid on these custom cleats through weekly auctions that coincided with some of the most anticipated football games of the season. This Cleat Crew program allowed star athletes to help raise critical funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) and benefited local member hospitals throughout the U.S. in each athlete’s community, including Corewell Health Children’s (formerly known as Beaumont Children’s) in Southeast Michigan. To round out the Cleat Crew program, some of our local Miracle Families attended a meet and greet last month with Blake Corum. Here they were able to interact with Blake, 7-Eleven, Inc. team members and our Child Life team, take part in a collaborative art project and design their own cleats. Thank you, Blake, for supporting Corewell Health Children’s (formerly known as Beaumont Children’s) and for being part of such a meaningful Cleat Crew 2023!
All thanks to Blake Corum, @TheSurgeon, @7Eleven and @Speedway, a total of $12,200 was raised, with 100% of funds donated to Corewell Health Children’s. These critical funds will help to change the future of kids’ healthcare in Southeast Michigan through the many critical programs and equipment that CMNH helps to fund at our hospital.
